About the Comedians

Kat Davidson

Kat Davidson has often been referred to as ‘the funniest chick I’ve seen’ and has been known to keep working class blokes and high-class gals alike gasping with laughter. Kat started her stand up career in 1997, she brings a fresh and intelligent view to her comedy. She tackles relationships, observations and random events with equal passion and her unique storytelling ability takes her audience along with her for the ride.

Ashwin Segkar

Ashwin started his comedy career as a writer, producing comedy cartoon, Boymongoose, that went on to attract over 10 million views online and was featured on TV and radio internationally. Having been born in India, but being dragged through a childhood covering New Zealand, Malaysia, England and Australia, his comedy touches on cultural issues with an often absurd take. His style is dry with unexpected dashes of physical comedy.

Rob Brown

Rob Brown hit the comedy stage in 2003 with his satirical, cheeky out of the box views on the world from a very interesting past. Rob pulls on past experiences for his comedy performances from growing up in a caravan park, working for over a decade as a prison officer in maximum security prisons, his time training security services in Iraq and Afghanistan, his family life - children, and marriage, and more.

Some have described Rob's comedy as edgy and direct while others, call him conventionally unconstrained, however all agree Rob is extremely funny and a welcome distinction to the comedy scene.

Dave Thornton

You would have seen Dave popping up on your television screen on a regular basis appearing in shows such as; Network Ten’s Talkin’ ‘bout Your Generation’, a regular guest on Good News Week, three Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala’s, as well as guest spots on ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks, and more. Dave Thornton’s accessible humour and free flowing style has seen his success as a comedian broaden from Stand-up to performances on TV, radio and Stage.
