As the mornings get warmer and you dust off your summer gear, welcome spring with open arms and a bevy of events in the region. In this issue we launch the official Redcliffe Festival Program with details, maps, stage entertainment and everything you need to know about this year's festivities. 

We celebrate all kinds of dads this Father's Day and take a look at how to spoil your dad, no matter what his likes and tastes are. 

September school holidays are almost upon us. For parents who are scrambling for ideas, we offer a range of activities throughout the region for kids of all ages to have fun and be entertained. 

International Coffee Day is in its second year and to mark the occasion, we check out some fun coffee facts and throw in a few offers from your local bean traders. So, grab a cuppa and enjoy this issue of Moreton Life.

As the humidity starts to drop and the air becomes a bit more chilly, one thing is inevitable – winter is just around the corner. Winter welcomes the opportunity to experience the region in a different way - whether you prefer to lace up your hiking books and tackle some picturesque bushwalks in the hinterland, or prefer to huddle inside a bayside café with some hot chocolate or coffee, admiring the wintry scene – the Moreton Bay Region has it all.

The next few months also sees the region’s calendar of events jam-packed like never before. The first ever Moreton Bay Motor Show will burst onto the events scene this June, a weekend not to be missed by any motoring fanatic or music lover.

The local shows also roll into town, the annual Jetty 2 Jetty and Tough Mudder will push you to your fitness limits and the family will be entertained at the Hills Festival and Abbey Medieval Festival – there’s so much to see and do over the next few months!

Finally, if you want to totally spoil mum this Mother’s Day inside you’ll find a guide to indulge in some of Moreton Bay Region’s finest fun, food and drink.

The team at Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism are at it again! Late last year, with the support of Moreton Bay Regional Council and Event Partners, they unveiled the 2017 calendar of events for Moreton Bay Region. Under the new marketing banner Let’s Go! Moreton Bay Region, this brand new events calendar brings together the region’s biggest, best and most unique festivals and events under the one program. Welcome to our first issue of Moreton Life!

This issue we explore some of our Moreton Bay Region's spectacular scenery and hit the road, with a Sunday drive through the hinterland of Samford, Dayboro and Mt Mee - of course stopping long the way for a bite to eat and a drink.

We also provide a list of great school holiday activities and help you celebrate Father's Day in style this year.

Last but definitely not least, we have provided the program for Redcliffe Festival within this issue. From kite flying to fireworks displays - there's something for the whole family to enjoy.
