This is one of the Moreton region’s best caravan parks with an abundance of facilities for kids of all ages. Only 200m from the beach and in walking distance of shops, cafes, hotels and the Surf Club this is a well-located and well-equipped site. A partly shaded pool is great for toddlers plus for the bigger kids there is mini golf, a half size tennis court, a recreation and games room and internet access.

Bells Caravan Park

For caravan parks near Brisbane city, head to Bells Caravan Park overlooking Bells Beach – a popular location to jet-ski and wind surf. This caravan park is a great getaway for those looking for a sea change weekend. Not only can you take a splash, you can also enjoy a beautiful walk or cycle along the shared pathway which extends right to the Woody Point Jetty, or head in the opposite direction for a fish from the Hornibrook Bridge fishing platform.

Bongaree Caravan Park, Bribie Island

As one of the several Moreton Bay Region caravan parks under Council management, Bongaree Caravan Park is a tidy site with a first-class location. Tranquil and quiet, Bongaree is a great choice for those seeking a blissfully simple holiday. There’s safe, low-swell, swimming in walking distance as well as a library, bowling club, shops, restaurants and cafes. The surf beach is five minutes walk away and anglers will appreciate easy boat access. For those that enjoy the great outdoors there are also numerous walking trails to be explored. Bookings are required to secure the 15 waterfront with powered sites, 66 powered sites as well as the cottages and cabins.

Toorbul Caravan Park, Bribie Island Region

Nestled in a sleepy, beachside town Toorbul Caravan Park is one of the Moreton Bay Caravan Parks operated by the local council. Offering a large amenities block, access to local waterways for swimming, fishing and boating and an onsite kiosk, Toorbul Caravan Park will be a holidays experience reminiscent of your wonderful childhood memories. Located in a true nature corridor, kangaroos are often seen roaming the park much to the delight of overseas visitors. Tucked away in a tranquil location the cabins and van sites are in high-demand and bookings are recommended year round.

Donnybrook Caravan Park

If boating and fishing is your thing, Donnybrook Caravan Park provides the perfect get-away holiday in a peaceful seaside village. Launch your boat from the adjacent boat ramp and cruise out into the picturesque Pumicestone Passage for a relaxing, fun-filled day on the water.

Scarborough Village Holiday Park

Of all the caravan parks in Moreton; Scarborough Village is one of the most modern available. With contemporary facilities, an onsite coffee shop, BBQ cabana, large grassed play area and brand-new laundries the only thing to outshine the wonderful facilities is the views. Adjoining a council park and only 400 metres from the famous ‘Morgan’s Seafood Restaurant’ Scarborough Village is a place where holiday memories are happily made. Bookings are required for cabins and van sites. You’ll find it at Reef Point Esplanade, Scarborough.

Silver Shores Caravan Park (Sandstone Point)

If you’re looking for a Moreton Bay caravan park that’s perfect for fishing enthusiasts, this is the choice for you. The site directly joins two boat ramps and offers anglers access to the well-known fishing haven of Pumicestone Passage. With tidy facilities, gas BBQs, powered and non powered sites and an adjoining kiosk with boat hire this family-friendly location is a dreamy choice for lazy family holidays… and did we mention the fishing? Silver Shores requires bookings, is pet-free and can be found at Kalamakuta Drive at Sandstone Point (2 minutes from Bribie Island).

Best Kept Hinterland Secrets – Caravanning Dream Spots

Neurum Creek Bush Retreat (dog friendly)

The all vehicle accessible Neurum Creek Bush Retreat is a privately run campground located on the northern outer edge of D’Aguilar National Park. A popular destination for families with its bike paths, school holiday events and kids discos. Not to mention great swimming holes and kayaking opportunities.

Just Glamping at the Show

If you're stopping into Moreton Bay Region on your lifetime trip to the cape or just looking for a local spot to pull over and spend a few nights while you explore the region during the day, then the local showgrounds maybe the solution for you. With wide grassed areas and clean facilities, several of Moreton Bay Region's local show societies offer the caravanning community a great solution for affordable short stays, outside of the annual show period.

Dayboro Showgrounds

A short walk into the town centre of Dayboro, this campground boasts views of the surrounding countryside, including the backdrop of the D’Aguilar Ranges and its National Park.

Samford Showgrounds (pet friendly)

Kickback and relaxed at the foot of Mount Glorious. This country campground is a short drive to the quaint Samford Village with its cafes, museum and heritage trail. It also offers a hiking opportunity up the hill to Maiala day-use area, with its selection of walking trails, picnic areas and lookouts.

Pine Rivers Showgrounds (pet friendly)

Pine Rivers Showgrounds is located in the leafy suburb of Lawnton. Conveniently located near Strathpine's shopping precinct, this showgrounds is a popular pull over for those with large rigs or pets. It's also a stone's throw to the Lawnton Train Station, with easy access into Brisbane's CBD experiences. 

If you love to fish, Pine Rivers Showgrounds is located close to the region's North Pine River and Lake Samsonvale, both popular with locals.

Redcliffe Showgrounds

Redcliffe Showgrounds is location in close approximately to many of Redcliffe's local attractions, including Redcliffe Jetty, Settlement Cove Lagoon and Scarborough Beach. The showgrounds is suitable for big rigs and large groups.
